Kara Dobson
Kara has worked in the senior living industry for more than 25 years. She holds a master’s degree in social work from Marywood University and has extensive experience in skilled nursing, hospice, personal care and memory care. Before joining Keystone Villa at Douglassville in 2024, Kara served as Executive Director of Keystone Villa at Fleetwood for ten years. As Campus Director, Kara oversees the Personal Care and Memory Care communities and works closely with the Independent Living Executive Director to provide consistent leadership and a seamless experience across the entire campus. Her experience and passion for serving older adults guide her commitment to residents, families, and team members.
Kim Barry
Kim joined Keystone Villa in 2012, she has played a key role in overseeing business operations and supporting residents and staff with dedication and care. Kim is known for her strong organization skills, attention to detail, and commitment to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for the community.
Kristine McAfee
Kristine McAfee brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and healthcare. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry before discovering her passion for senior living and joining Heritage Senior Living in 2013.
Throughout her career, Kristine has held leadership positions in healthcare, senior living, sales, and marketing, and owned a successful marketing consultancy for more than six years. She has worked with organizations and professionals ranging from pharmaceutical companies and product developers to financial advisors, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and philanthropists. While she has enjoyed helping a wide variety of clients grow and succeed, her greatest passion has always been serving seniors and their families.
In 2024, Kristine returned to Heritage Senior Living as Director of Sales and Marketing for Keystone Villa at Douglassville Independent Living. She combines her healthcare background with marketing expertise to help seniors and their loved ones navigate one of life’s most important transitions. Known for her ability to blend strategic marketing with genuine relationship-building, Kristine is passionate about creating meaningful connections that help individuals, families, and communities thrive.
Kristine earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University and is an active community leader, serving in several nonprofit leadership roles. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three daughters. Her passion for people, service, and community shines through in everything she does.
Dawn Massengill
Dawn has an extensive nursing background in maternal/fetal health, medical-surgical health, and as a case manager specializing in transplants. Dawn also worked for a large, national insurance company where she oversaw RNs and benefit specialists in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Chicago. As a balance to her work life, Dawn lives with her husband and daughter, where you will often find her in her garden with her dogs. She also loves to travel and has passed that love to her daughter, so they are often planning trips together.
Donna McDonald
For the past 12 years, Donna has served as a Resident Life Director senior , where she is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of residents every day. She enjoys planning engaging programs, special events, wellness activities, and opportunities that encourage connection, joy, and a strong sense of community. Over the years, the residents have become like family to her, and building relationships with them and their loved ones has been one of the most rewarding parts of her career. Donna strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and truly at home.
Julie Cavanaugh
Julie has over 40 years of experience in the service industry, sales and marketing. She brings compassion and support to prospects looking for a fun, engaging and vibrant community to call home. Her goal is to make residence feel valued, comfortable, and at home.
She resides in Berks county with her husband, daughter, dog and cat. Her son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren live in Kansas City.
Gary Miller
Gary comes to Keystone Villa with 39 years of construction experience, having spent the last 28 years as a construction superintendent. Gary was responsible for the construction of the Keystone Villa Independent and Assisted living buildings, the Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, the Keystone Villa at Ephrata, and the Traditions of Hershey. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking and making rings. Gary lives in Boyertown with his wife Wendy; they have two grown sons and six grandchildren.
